Status indicators for Electronic Ignition
System and other engine functions.
Electronic ignition system installed in a
Pantera utilizing the mounting plate for the
coil and terminal strips. The EIS simplifies
the wiring and provides more control
functions than just ignition.

Electronic Ignition System
> User adjustable RPM limiter up to 8,500 RPM. Soft RPM limit and recovery
insures smooth transition from setting.
> 5 degree ignition timing retard for engine start. Reduces starter motor load
and battery current without reducing initial timing for maximum performance.
> Engine oil pressure monitor detects loss of oil pressure and shuts off ignition.
Red indicator on enclosure for loss of oil pressure.
> Optional dynamic idle speed compensation, maintains idle RPM
automatically. Compensates for A/C compressor loading or alternator loading
from high current demand.
> Optional internal trickle battery charger with flashing indicator on enclosure.
Engine ignition is disabled during battery charging to avoid driving and ripping
out wall outlet and drywall from garage.
> Dedicated tachometer output compatible with the factory Veglia tachometer.
NO tachometer adapter needed !
> Electric choke control activates the electric choke only when engine is
running. Adjustable choke opening “slope” to match engine warm-up rate.
> A/C Compressor control, automatically disables A/C compressor during
performance driving, and returns to normal operation during typical driving.
And automatically disables A/C compressor during engine start.
> The Pantera’s wire harness does NOT have a FUSE in-line with the ignition
switch to power the ignition. The Electronic Ignition System has an internal
thermal circuit breaker with automatic reset and main power relay to safely
power the complete system. Additional relays are not needed.
> Automatic electric fuel pump shut-off, operates only if engine is running. An
initial 5 second full speed operation when the ignition switch is turned “ON” to
insure the carburetor bowls are full of fuel for starting.
Fuel pump operates at low speed then transitions to high speed using engine
RPM as a reference. Extends fuel pump life and operates quietly at low speed.
> Designed with high efficiency electronics ... the Electronic Ignition System
installs near the engine in the optimum location for wiring, does not need to be
remotely located due to heat.
> Simulation mode allows verification of operation sequence and tach RPM
verification. (many Veglia tachometers do not indicate accurately)
> Does not require a computer or computer knowledge for any user
adjustments. Field adjustments possible without additional support equipment.
An electronic ignition with a concise
management system is the modern
solution to make driving the Pantera
a more enjoyable experience.
